Take off wallpaper border

Does anybody know an easy way to take off wallpaper border?
I am trying to redo my kitchen but there is border on the wall and i dont just want to paint over like the people before me did.Any suggestions would be appreciated Thank You!

Try to peel off what you can if you can, you might have to start it by cutting it with a straight edge or razor...peel what you can, then using the hottest water you can, saturate a small area, let it set for awhile then peel it off, this will take time, but so worth the effort to do it right. After removal lightly sand the area to remove the build up from paint or paste from wallpaper, let dry good then prime before you paint or wallpaper again.
