I highly recommend to everyone to read books by Beverly Lewis. IF, you like to read books that are Inspirational Romance in Amish Country. I have read every one of her books and can not put one down once a new one comes out.
I would be interested in chatting with others who enjoy her storytelling, too.

I LOVE Beverly Lewis's writing too! I find her books soo relaxing and inspirational. I live in PA, and this past Summer I visited Lancaster County. What a BEAUTIFUL piece of country! I felt so relaxed and at home there, I truly didnt want to leave. I am currently reading( well am trying to lol..kind of busy with other things at the moment), her series with Annie Zook. Just read The Preachers Daughter. I LOVED IT! I loved the interaction between Lousia and Annies family. I thought that was handled soo nicely. And what about Esther..that poor woman. Her hubby makes me sooo angry! I feel so badly for her. Mrs. Lewis writes so that you believe that these people really are your friends..that you KNOW them. I cant say enough good things about this author. :)

It is so nice to meet another fan of Mrs. Lewis. You feel exactly the same way I do, about her books. I get so involved in them and they do seem so real. I catch myself laughing, crying and celebrating with them all. Did you know she has a web site? If not, check it out, because you will get e-mails when her new books are coming out. I was so hoping a new one would come out before May, as I wanted to take it on vacation to read on the beach. There are a couple other authors that write in her style, they are Wanda Brunstetter. I have read all of hers also and she too has a website with newsletter. Then there is a brand new one named Cindy Woodsmall. She has only the one book thus far titled When The Heart Cries, book one of the Sisters Of The Quilt series. :)

I love her books as well and it's not often that I find other fans on a message board. YAY!!!!
I wrote to her after reading "The Shunning" and she replied so quickly and was so thrilled that I enjoyed the book and even recommended another in a different series of hers.
Here's her web site:

I am a fan of her books. They are making the book The Redemption of Sarah Cain into a movie. Likes kinda like a made for tv movie. I don't know if it will be in the theatres or just on maybe Hallmark channel. From the previews not sure how I will like it. But I love her books. :)

For those of you who like the writings of Beverly Lewis, I want to recommend to you another author, Wanda Brunstetter. She writes much like Mrs. Lewis. She also has a nice newsletter she sends out about once a month. She just released book one of the "Sisters of Holmes County". The title of the book is "A Sister's Secret". I read all of Mrs. Brunstetter's books. She will be releasing two more in this series, this year. So that makes me happy. :D She and Mrs. Lewis just do not release them fast enough for me. lol

yes it does. my husband and I have visited Lancaster and it is beautiful. especially if you drive in the country and see amish families selling things from their home. I tried some home made root beer at one of them.

I've loved every book of Beverly Lewis' that I've read! I live among the amish, and she portrays them well. Even though I've lived around them all my life, I've learned alot about them through her books. I have a hard time putting them down. Currently I'm reading "The parting" Can't wait to finish it. It's soooooo good!

I will have to let my mom know about this author. She is always looking for a new read, and I think she is getting tired of my genre......she likes Nora Roberts and Danielle Steel and that type....
(give me a good murder mystery any day...)
