I am not sure if Georgiamom or any of our Georgia friends on here got hit by that tornado a couple of days ago...But I wanted to start this thread by saying we are thinking of you all and praying for you guys!!:)

Thanks guys. Tornados were apparently seen a mile south of me and just to the east of me as well. I had to gather up the boys and bunker down in a closet for awhile...they thought it was kinda fun but were scared too. Luckily, I don't really have any damage at my house, but I know people right up the road from me weren't so lucky. Cars were crushed by trees, as well as some mobile homes that were occupied at the time. I'm not really sure what's going on here as far as anyone being injured or anything though. Right now, I'm just happy that the only damage I have is some dings in my car from the hail.

Has anyone heard from PVUGrad? This stormfront came right through where she lives too. She's about 30-40 minutes from me.

Allison, how thoughtful of you to start this thread! You are awesome!:)

Glad you are safe Shelley! I don't have PVUgrads emergency info, but I do have her address.

Anyone that didn't read it before-I am keeping emergency contact info for all SS members in a book. That way when something like this happens, we can make sure all is ok. If anyone else wants me to add their info, just pm it to me.

Whew...wasn't that a fun weekend? NOT! :eek:
No damage here except for down trees. I think the worse of these storms is when you lose power and then are forced to eat all your ice cream because you know it is going to melt and don't want to waste it. :rolleyes: Have to look on the bright side of these things as it could have been much much worse with hubby in a wheelchair and not able to scramble to cover if need be.
Our daughter lives in ATL and when I saw the "rumble" on TV Friday night as we were watching the SEC tourney live, the first thing that came to mind was a terrorist explosion, not a tornado in downtown ALT, and called to check on her right away.
Thanks all for thinking of us. {{hugs}}

Thanks Cpogie. You know I have been meaning to tell you that you live in my "old stompin" grounds as a teen. Spend every Christmas break from high school in a rental in Big Bear and hanging out at Snow Summit night skiing. Man, those were the days. :)

Actually it helped pass the time. Now I know what is meant when they say you eat out of boredom. ;)

I just got on here & saw this thread. I pray that everyone in Georgia is alright and no damage. PVUgrad & GeorgiaMom, I am so happy you both are ok. PVUgrad- its funny about the ice-cream you mention! Because that WAS the first thing we did when we lost power! God bless everyone in the coming weeks-we are all on the alert, the storms are only gonna get worse! Please stay safe!
