I read an article in Marie Claire (I think!) that stated all shampoos are the same. The lady writing the article stated that the shampoo sold at stores is the same that is sold in salons.
She said the only difference is the salon shampoos smell better and may have added ingredients to make your hair shine, etc.
So what kind of shampoo do you use? Do you think that all shampoos are the same?
I have about 10 different kinds in the shower....Pantene, Herbal Essences, Nexxus, Redken, olive oil shampoo from Regis, baby shampoo, John Freida....

I use Matrix Sleek Look. I do not think all shampoos are the same. I am sure that most of them have something comperable to them, but I have curly hair and straighten it almost everyday. If I dont use Matirx I look like a chia pet!! I have a frizzy hair with most shampoos. If I wear my hair natural I just use John Frieda and it works well.

I am like you Brandy, I have sooo many different kinds of shampoos!! I just got the Pert pluss and I have John Frieda sheer blonde Highlight activating shampoo, Head and shoulders, Loreal new vive pro. I love to try different ones, I don't think I have ever gotten two of the same kind in a row. My hubby has Suave. He will only use Suave!
The girls have Loreal for kids. I have aobut ten bottles of shampoo in the bathroom at any given time!

I am cheap when it comes to shampoo, I usually use Suave, costs $1.00, cleans my hair great!

I focus more on the type of conditioner I buy. I have very thick, coarse hair so I need something to help keep it under control. I do sometimes buy salon stuff like Redken, but I save it for special occasions. Whatever conditioner I use, I will buy the corresponding shampoo. As long as I have a coupon ;) I do like the Fructis line.

Shampoos are definetly different. I have curly hair and have jumped on the naturally curly wagon. I've learned all about silicones, proteins, cleansers, etc. that are in shampoos and what to look for and what to avoid. For those of you who are interested you can visit www.naturallycurly.com they have some really interesting threads in their community about things that are good and bad for hair...just keep in mind it's geared towards curly haired gals like myself!

I agree with you ladies. I do not think that all shampoos are the same, but sometimes the cheaper ones work better. It is weird.

I love Pantene! I get it if it is on sale and I have a coupon, otherwise I use whatever I can. Pantene makes my hair so shiny and easy to handle!

I have naturally-curly, thick, dry hair. I've tried several different kinds of shampoo and found the only one that works for me is Pantene for dry/damaged hair. I leave some of the conditioner on everytime I shampoo. No, it doesn't itch and it won't hurt your hair. It gets rid of the frizz and makes it more manageable. I also don't blow dry my hair, I let it dry naturally.

I went to the salon last night to get a haircut and my stylist tried for a good few minutes to get me to buy product. I already have tons of shampoo! LOL

Try "CRISTOPHE" Definition & Control Curl defining contour creme, and also the curl line shampoo & conditioner etc. It is Only carried by CVS--I haven't found it anywhere else. Right now-they have a buy one get one for 50% off. I wasn't able to buy this for 1 month...and had to use another brand....my hair got so dried out, and like straw. I bought some on Saturday-and My hair is Beautiful again. Soft, curly, no frizz etc. I Love this stuff! If you can only buy 1 product-I strongly recommend the CRISTOPHE curl & defining contour creme...& just use cheap, suave version of "biolage or nexxus" !
