Help.............going to Orlando on Sunday.........one week w/ son, DIL, hubby and almost 3 yr old grandson. Staying at Silver Lake Resort www.silverlakeresort.com in Orlando.
Need input here...........Benjamin is almost 3..........so course we are going to Magic Kingdom...........what about Animal kingdom and Disney MGM studios?
We are planning on doing the Holyland Experience and Gatorland.
My son was thinking the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament or Pirates Dinner Adventure or Arabian Nights dinner theatre...........which one as we only want to do ONE????(remember Benjamin is not quite 3 so needs to keep him interested)
We are going to do SeaWorld.
Any suggestions for nice beach to drive to as DIL wants to go to beach one day. We rented a jeep so distance is not a problem. (cept for gas prices, HA HA)
DIL was interested in the World of Orchids and the Orlando Premium/Beltz Factory outlets. whatcha think??

I am from Florida so I hope I can help you!
MGM is more for adults and I would definitely recommend Animal Kingdom for your little one. There is sooo much to do with kids and he would love it! MGM is more of the adult attractions and shows.
Medieval Times is the BEST show in Orlando. The show is great and the food is excellent. The actors go out of their way to get the kids involved and it is definitely a family show. I have been to Arabian Nights and it was horrible. The show was bad and the food was horrible. Plus the audience participation was less than pitiful.:(
You will be close to New Smyrna Beach (beautiful!). New Smyrna is about an hour away.

The beaches are beautiful and I think you would really enjoy the landscape!
Seaworld is great as well! They are constantly adding new shows for variety.
The outlet mall is good if you want to go shopping. It is HUGE. I have picked up several deals there in the past and I love deals!
Let me know if you have any questions. I had a season pass to Disney World for years and constantly traveled to Orlando.:)

Daytona Beach is fun(park on the beach, picnic, etc.) and great for the whole family & the shortest drive to the beach. Also under websites I put a link for discounts/coupons to orlando. You can get discounts for Medieval Times, etc. I agree w/ the prior post. Medieval Times is alot of fun for the whole family. Be sure to go to Downtown Disney - They have the Lego Store which is fun for young one's & us older one's too. They have Full size figurines. If you have spare time in the evening another place to check out is Old Town & they too have coupons for a free Ferris Wheel Ride. & on Sat have a great car show/live music/it's just like the name state's it's a great family atmosphere w/rides,shops, etc. There is also a good priced airboat ride near gatorland (it's short but fun for the kids) Angel's Diner has an all you can eat lobster buffet which is nostalgic and good food. (They too have coupons but still a bit pricey for a family but well worth it if you like sea food). Make sure to p-up coupon books at every corner. It gives you lots of ideas plus discounts. Hope all this helped- sorry for talking your ear off. Can you tell we visit quite a bit. We get year passes to the parks so when we have nothing planned we can go play. :D The outlet malls are awesome but also while in daytona check out the shops they really have some awesome prices on clothes, etc. Tourist stuff too. They also have a boardwalk w/rides. If you have time there are some awesome Natural spring parks near Orlando as well w/tubing which is not deep in Apopka, etc. Shopping in Vero at outlet mall tends to have better priced stuff on Polo, Tommy, Dooney, Izod, etc. If that's whatcha looking for. Have a great safe Trip.

Daytona Beach is great also! I did not suggest it because it will be full of spring breakers when you go and I thought you would want to avoid that.

Hi,
I just read your post stating that you were going to Silver Lake Resort in Orlando. I am about ready to reserve a 2 bedroom condo at that resort. Can you give me your opionion on that resort? We have two boys 5 and 13. We were told that there are alot of children's activities there at the resort. I have read numerous forum about the resort. Good and bad. I thought it might be good to get your opionion, since you were just there. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Also, what beach did you decide to do? We have been to Daytona and really did not care for it. But maybe it was the time of year. Also, we are planning on doing a dinner show. Do you have any suggestions?
Again thanks for any info.
Lori
