Curious what do you ladies normally get for valentines day gifts?

My hubbys lucky,I dont wear perfume,DO NOT like jewerly,and candy well dont care too much for it.So I get a card and flowers. Usually roses,YELLOW my fav.color for roses!

I don't know what he's up to. He said whatever it is, he's getting it Friday. We'll see. He often says he's gonna get me something and then doesn't. One year tho for Valentine's Day, he got me a yearling Arabian. She's awesome!! I named her Bliss 'cause she makes me really happy.

I am getting a necklace that I am going to pick up for him because he works 12 hour shifts and then sleeps all day! But at least I am getting what I wanted!!

Thursday, we'll go have lunch together, and afterwards, we'll stop by Sam's and pick up the latest Stephen King book for me.

I got him some pink tanga panties with lace trim, and a package of green M&M's. Not that he'll need them after he sees me in the new panties. :eek:

Well, she was a sweet deal. He got her for $200.oo!!! Then he had to have a horse and I bought Red for him. Red was $550, but that was kinda a deal too, 'cause he has an awesome pedigree. Should have known tho that he'd have to have one too eventually. :rolleyes:

You bet! Bliss is the best behaved though! She's just brilliant! When I was working with her early on, and I was trying to teach her, she would just look at me like, "What exactly do you mean? I'm listening." And, for me barely knowing what I was doing, she turned out spectacularly. So it's really just that she's so smart. Red likes to mostly just stand there when you sit on him! lol He'll go with the group, but as an individual, he takes a lot of coaxing to get anywhere. All three of them are really sweet and people loving though.

We are doing Valentines on Saturday night. We will have a light dinner at Applebees( gift cards from Christmas & ) then go see a movie (with another Christmas gift card) !!

He might get me a card and chocolates...but he knows I am trying to keep weight off for fitting into my dress when the day comes ( it fits now...I want to keep it that way)

A perfect date and doesn't cost us more so we can save more for the wedding!!

I am probably the only one on this board that does not care for Valentine's Day. I will take the nurses at the hospital candy, but Albert and I do not celebrate.

We save up our Valentine's Day excitement for Easter. We both love getting Easter baskets.;)

I was surprised this morning by getting to sleep in. DH got up with our Grandson and took care of him until I woke up at 9:30am!! :eek:

When I went into the kitchen I found 2 miniature red rose bushes in beautiful urn type containers, along with a card. Inside the card there was a note DH wrote that said... I will replace those shrubs that you do not like in the front by the front door with these!! :o I can't tell you all how happy I am!! I absolutely HATE those shrubs, they stink!! Don't know what they are but I have wanted them gone for YEARS!!

I feel really bad because I didn't get him anything other than sending him an online card. He said not to worry, I could cook breakfast for him, which I did. I'm also going to make a new recipe for dinner tonight. I saw it on Rachael Ray's show this morning.

To be honest, for YEARS my DH didn't get me anything for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, My B-day, Our Anniversary, and Christmas!!! It wasn't until after my Mom passed away that he finally "saw the light!" Now he tries very hard to make these days special for me. I have told him he doesn't have to buy me anything, just a simple Happy what-ever-day it is and an I Love You will do, just the thought that counts, ya know?

Yes it is!! That's what I have told him for YEARS! Just a thanks or I've been thinking about you and want you know know how much I appreciate what you do for out family. It was a long time coming, but it happened. So sad it took a tragedy to make it happen.
