Ok - So I'm up to chapter 15, and I've lost interest a little.

I still enjoy the sisters, but for some reason, the book has reached a slow point for me. Could just be me though - I'm TIRED! Between a husband who snores on and off, and a 14 month old who sleeps for a few hours then wants in bed with us (dad's snoring wakes him I think), and extended family issues . . . . I just can't take too much more :)

Anyway - so far what I like, and a few things I've noticed thus far (some items may go back a little farther than chapter 13)

I still like the banter between the sisters, and like that they are familiar with each other enough to know what the other is thinking (I think I'm fascinated by them because I am an only child, so I've completely missed this type of teasing, arguements, etc, although DH is trying to make up for my lack of siblings!)

I like that things seem to be going well for Henry, although we just know that he is with Debbie, and that he is pursuing a dream of his. He seems like a really nice character.

I actually like the politician (Richard?) so far - he has appeared to be very proper and polite, yet approachable.

I don't know if anything else could possibly happen to the Skoot - It does seem to be an accident waiting to happen!

A few things I've noticed - I don't quite know how Ed fits in here, in fact, I actually forgot about him until the sisters bumpted into the Sherrif at KFC.

I also don't quite see how this is shaping up, and I think I'm done with about 70% of the book!

What I can remember so far:

The book has touched on an election
Ed's questionable truths/lies
Doris???? What happened to her
Fly - why on earth is he such a figure in the book?

I love Fred - who just seems to adore Patricia Anne.
Mary Alice's boyfriend hasn't been in the book yet - I thought he would be in there more . . . .

Anyway - thought I'd comment on these chapters before I forgot where I was!!

Anyone else still reading??

I finished it all in one night(not the whole book, but chapters 10-end) and never posted to the appropriate chapter posts. I'm going to take notes next time from the beginning, maybe using a notepad for my bookmark. I just never felt like going back to it and looking up what was in which chapter. I'll do better next time;) The book does get better toward the end, so read up Wendi!

Wendi, I had kinda pooped out for a while, but then the deadline to get my hardcopy back to the library was looming! I read the last coupla chapters in long bursts over the day before and the day it had to go back in. lol

I did enjoy the book as a whole - I think I ended up being a bit confused overall - I think there were two plot lines heading in the same direction (sort of) . . . I made a comment in the completed book section for this one.

As a last note:

In chapter 15, we find the marraige certificate in the boot - it was Ed, and I believe Sara??? Do I have that right? Richard's wife?? Some things are a bit fuzzy (finished the book a while back and forgot to post my notes!), and I was a tad confused at the time.

:)
