As with the other threads - SPOILERS included! Please don't read on unless you don't mind reading what is happening in the book!

Ok - so I don't have my book in front of me, but I'm pretty sure I can talk about Ed and Doris in this thread without giving anything away!
What do you think about the story coming out about what "really" happened the day Ed went to the hospital for stitches (twice!!!!).
It makes me really wonder what happened to Doris - if he coun't have attempted to rape her due to his first set of stitches . . . what happened to Doris, and why did she leave?
Plus . . . why is Fly acting like he didn't know Doris?
I'm really enjoying this book - but it seems like we just keep getting twists on the facts of the story - kind of keeps you on your toes!

I thought it was interesting! So, what the heck happened? Was Ed PMSing and acting crazy? Or was he mad at her about something, and she cried rape to make it look like she was an innocent victim?
Fly seemed genuinely lost when Patricia Anne asked him about Doris, so I don't know what to think!

You know, I wonder why she left, and why Ed didn't say he didn't try to rape her - I wonder if a customer threatened her and they are trying to cover it up? Sounds to me more like it was a staged thing (except for the whole frying pan thing with Henry!)
I'm not sure on Fly - he did seem a bit lost - but his wife knew all that information and admitted that he had the dog - didn't she??

Yes, she did! I dunno!
I think Henry and Debbie are cute together, but I was kinda hoping Patricia Anne's daughter would get him.

Ohhhh!!! I'm behind!! I've got to get some of my notes posted so I can continue!!!
I'll also get the other threads up - I think there are a total of 20 chapters - does that sound right?

I've been trying to not finish it too quickly!:o I'm afraid I'll post something in one of the threads that will give something away, or that my opinion will be influenced because I know what happens later...

I think I'll start a thread for those who have finished and want to be able to discuss ANYTHING!! That way, we won't have to worry too much about which chapters things were in - sound good?

I found it strange that Henry's previous address and Debbie's address are the same. Coincidence?

I thought that was strange too - you know, I don't think they ever really went back to address that issue, at least not in this book, unless I missed it! I don't really understand where that was going, unless the author wanted to find a strange way to hook them up and give them some common ground.

That was probably her intent. But it left the reader feeling like there were loose ends! :(
