OMG these things are awesome! I picked up 2 at the grocery store on Thursday night for dinner and I am in love!

They are kinda pricey (on sale at $3.00 each), but they are huge and make a meal in itself. Full of chicken chunks, veggies, and great tasting gravy....YUMMY!!!

Albert really liked them as well! I had chicken and he had beef! I cannot say enough great things about these pot pies.:D

The portion size at their restaurants is HUGE! I ate lunch at one in Phoenix two different times when we made trips up from Tucson, and both times ended up eating the rest of it for supper that night and lunch again the next day. The gigantically tall multi-layer chocolate cake thing, however, substitutes nicely for a meal :p Don't see their frozen stuff at the grocery or their restaurants for that matter, either, here in the waves of grain flatlands. :(

I would loooooove to eat at one of their restaurants. I did not see their frozen items until recently. I am gonna try some pie though.;)

Try that Choc Pie, it's really good, right now it's on sale for $5.99 here, usually $7.99...I let my son buy it, lol we both love that pie!

The dinners are usually about $3 when they go on sale, the Meatloaf and Chicken dinners are really good and they come with a gravy packet! I am getting hungry talking about this food.

Yes, quite the rage in AZ anyways. People drove up to Phoenix from Tucson all of the time just to eat at Claim Jumper. When they finally opened the first Tuscon Claim Jumper at the El Empty Mall, err, El Con Mall, it was swamped! The Basha's chain carried a nice selection of the Claim Jumper frozen products if you have a Basha's nearby. Haven't seen hide nor hair of Claim Jumper, restaurant nor frozen foods, since returning to the Midwest.

According to their website, they have locations in IL but it didn't say anything about frozen products :(

Shoot! And I used to live in AZ. Too early for Claim Jumper, I suppose.

Yes, all three in Chicagoland, like most smaller nationwide chains. SIGH...nothing for us "hayseeds" in the rest of the state.

Where in Illinois are you? I'm in Freeport, IL. I e-mailed Claim Jumper asking if any stores carry the frozen line and here's the response I got...maybe you have one of these stores in your area.

Thank you so much for your email which was forwarded to me from Claim Jumper Restaurant's Guest Services. We always enjoy hearing from our customers.

You can find a variety of our meals at Dominick's, Roundys, Woodmans, Fresh Brand, and SuperValu stores. If you are having difficulty locating any of our products, my best suggestion is to ask your local frozen food store's manager if he could please order it for you. I hope this information is helpful to you.
To show our appreciation for contacting us, I would be happy to send you 2 $1.00 off coupons towards your next purchase. Please send me your name and mailing address.

Thanks again for contacting us.

Sincerely,
Diana Richards

Thanks for checking! Nope, none of those chains here for us here East/Central/South hayseeds :) We're not some hopping big burg like Freeport or Rochelle, we're more like Lena or Savanna. :D There's a few County Markets in some of the cities, which are related to SuperValu (there's even a big SuperValu distribution facility in the closest large city!), but they don't carry any Claim Jumper items. Just have to wait to go to Claim Jumper when we visit friends up in Oswego or when we make a trip back out to Tucson/Bisbee/Tombstone some time. SIGH...!

I don't know if Freeport is a hopping big burg  but I'm going to talk to the frozen food manager at Cubs and/or Sullivans and see if they will order the line hopefully they will. The good news is that they are going to be putting in a small Kohl's here in the next year or so.

Just had to tease--VERY familiar with Freeport, Dixon, Savanna, Mt. Carroll, and that whole area--both families' home grounds and lots of relatives all over the place up there--nice area--proof positive that IL is not all flat, actually quite beautiful up around that area, not that I'm prejudiced or anything :)

Like Sullivans, at least the one in Princeton--haven't tried the one in Freeport. They're good folks in my experience. They might be the best bet. Cubs is okay, too, just not as friendly as Sullivans, in the stores I've dealt with. Worth a try on your part, as the Claim Jumper frozen goods are super. A Claim Jumper pot pie makes a Banquet pot pie look like a dried up drop of ketchup next to a fresh heirloom tomato.

A Kohl's grocery store or a Kohl's department store? Either one (or both!) would be great!

A Kohl's department store.

I have a claim Jumper by me (I live in IL). I've been their a couple times. The first time I went there, when they first opened there, I think I had Chicken & Buttermilk Biscuits half portion. I got 2 big biscuits and 1 or 2 big peices of chicken. my friend I thinkg got the meatloaf. also big portions. For dessert I got the choclate cake. Sooooo good! took it home. The 2nd time was last year for my birthday. My parents too me. I forget what I had then. But my dad told the waitress it was my birthday at the end of the meal. then she came back with a slice of ice cream pie. It was very very good. it tasted like toffee. my mom tasted some and wounded up eating about half it my pie! LOL

I tried a couple of their frozen dinners. the lasanga and the country fried steak. both were good.

Yes, it would be cheaper, Tahoe is expensive and Reno is just small....
