I am so sick!!!

I have never felt this bad in my life..My throat is so sore, I keep coughing, My temperature is 101.9, my eyes feel like they are on fire, and I cant eat. I keep drinking Orange Juice and I have been laying down, and taking tylenol, but nothing is working! If I am not on here much in the next couple of days, it is because I am sick! Sorry!

Oh Liz I am so sorry hun- My son just got over being sick. His temp got up to 103.1...now my daughter and I have caught it- my throat has swelled....have a cough.....keep drinking liquids- maybe the OJ is irritating your throat too- try clear liquids non acidic!!

You poor thing! You sound just miserable!:( When I am sick like that, I take Tylenol PM and try to sleep til it's run its course.

Ouch! sore throats are no fun along with the other stuff, if your sore throat doesn't feel better within a day or 2 go to the doctor, you might have strept throat, in the mean time gargle with some warm salt water it will help a bit, or try some Chloraseptic (sp) it's a spray, it will numb your throat. Stay warm and drink water, get better soon!!

If there are white spots or patches all in your throat it is DEFINITELY strep and you have to see a DR. It is contagious as well as serious illness not to be ignored!!!

I was going to go to the doctor, but I dont even feel like going...Plus, the baby is sick too, his isnt as bad as mine though...He has the coughing and a little fever, but not serious...I called the doctor about him, and they said to give him tylenol, and if his temp. gets to 101.5 to bring him in, but now it is only running about 99.7. If we are both not better, I will have to go to the ER, I cant take it, I am sick when I sit up, and then when I lay down I keep caughing. I have never had a cold like this before...I am seriously so sick! I will get back on here later.

Go to the DR. I know you have heard that like 5 times, but if you do have strep you will feel soo much better after you get on meds and get rest.

Propping your head up on a slant will help with the post nasal drip which is tickling your throat and therefor making you cough. Using a product such as mucinex will lossen up your phlem and congestion and help it to be able to come out with your coughs better. Sitting in the bathroom with your shower running full and at the hottest it can get will give off steam and breathing that will also help.

Rest...drink...rest.....hope you start to feel better soon Liz!!!

I am so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well! My son spent the weekend with a 103 degree temperature, and boy was he a pain! (He's 1, so we don't know what else "hurt", but boy was he kranky!)

Drink plenty of fluids!! Take it easy so your body can recover!

Women always take care of themselves last and this is a great mistake. Go see a doctor. My husband has been sick for 2 months now and he finally went last week to the doctor and now he's much better because of the meds. Put yourself first and go see a doctor.

I am going to go to the doctor tomorrow if I dont feel any better. The babys temp is down to 98.8 which is really good, and he seems to be doing better. He still has a cough though...I will wait and see if his cough has stoped and if it hasnt I will take him with me...My temp went down to 100.0 so still up, but better. I feel like crap! Thank you guys! I will try to check in now and then, but I wont be on here all the time til I get better, I just want to lay in bed!

Sorry you aren't well. I have been going through this for 2 wks. now and have lost days at work. I've never been this ill. Ran a temp of 102.7 for about 3 days. Doctor has me on antibiotics. Good luck!:)

For a sore throat drink HOT tea. It can be herbal tea if you prefer. I get strep usually 2 times a year and have been told by many Dr's to drink HOT fluids when your throat is really sore. It helps soothe your throat and also helps if you have a stuffy nose.

I think my fever went down a little, I havent checked it, but I dont feel as hot, I think that I am getting better, but only tomorrow will tell. Thank you all for the wonderful wishes. I appreciate it so much! :)

I'm glad/hopeful that you're feeling better! Just keep up with the fluids and all that fun stuff! Be watchful about that throat, though! Strep has a way of recurring with a vengeance if that might be what's made you so sick. :o

Well, I woke up today, and I dont have a fever anymore, and my coughing has slowed down, I have been taking some antibiotics that was left over from when I had my teeth worked on (4) and I have been taking tylenol and robitussin, using cough drops, drinking tea and all of that good stuff...but, now my lungs are so sore! I dont know if it is because I coughed alot yesterday or if it is something else. I do feel a lot better though!

Yup your just sore from coughing, but that should go away in a day or so, be careful about mixing those left over pills and over the counter pills, I have a friend who landed in the hospital from taking too many Advil, she was bleeding in her stomach, scared the heck out of her!

When I had walking pneumonia, my chest was really sore but there was a "heaviness" there too...from the fluid that had built up in my lungs. I didn't necessarily have a fever either so go get yourself checked. If it is pneumonia it can become serious if left untreated!!! Good luck!

I feel a little better again, but my lungs are still bothering me. I know it sounds bad, but I cant smoke my lungs hurt so bad! I dont have a vehicle today, so I will have to wait til tomorrow to go to the doctor though!

Liz... try sucking on lemon drop candies. They soothe your throat and also help with the cough. I know it sounds ridiculous but it works!! Let us know what the DR says. Feel better hon!

I didnt go to the doctor, but my lungs feel better, so I think I will be okay, I feel better now, just a little cough and that is it!
