I consider breakfast the first food of the day...sometimes it's a couple pieces of ham while I pack my son's lunch, sometimes it's left overs from dinner the night before i.e. meat or salad or potatoes...weekends Hub and I usually go out to some sort of restaurant, fast or slow for eggs or sandwiches. I don't eat cereal and pretty much stay away from the donuts...

I always eat breakfast. This morning, I stopped off at Walmart Neighborhood Market and redeemed my coupon for a free Myoplex bar. I ate that, and had a half a cup of orange juice.
What I have for breakfast just depends on what I'm in the mood for that day. Sometimes, I have a pancake, egg, and cheese sandwich (I use the Great Value Brand Vanilla pancakes or use leftover pancakes that I've made). I also like oatmeal with a tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter, a tablespoon of honey, and some cinnamon sprinkled on top. In the summer, I like to have fruit smoothies along with five to ten Brazil nuts. Sometimes, I make fruit scones, or muffins, and I'll have one of those. Along with breakfast, I always have fruit, or some kind of fruit juice. If I'm in a hurry, I'll have a protein or meal replacement bar.

You are such a good breakfast eater Chris! That is what I should do, but I never have time. I need to get up earlier.

I always eat breakfast, usually it is a full blown one too, DH does the breakfast cooking so it usually something of the following, eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes, or pancakes with grated apple or poached eggs, or fried tomatoes on toast....sometimes cereal which DH has been hooked on for a couple of weeks...so it varies. I neve eat lunch so it is a good breakfast then dinner.

Mainly just coffee!! If I eat in the morning I just feel like I am starving and hungry all day long, no matter how much I eat all day long! Geez, it's like a tapeworm or something! (It's not, just seems like that.)

Thank you! I get home from the gym between 6:30 and 7:00, and my kids don't have to be at school until 8:20, so I'm lucky in that I have plenty of time. I usually make myself some breakfast, then come here and delete spam while I eat it, LOL!
I have managed to get my breakfasts right, now I just need to keep working on the rest of my meals. :)

I usually end up with a carbo-licious bagel or english muffin with peanut butter to hold me over until lunch time. I would rather have cereal, but usually don't have the time. If I do, it's rice crispy's or cheerios with a sliced up banana in it. My husband caught me eating the breakfast of champions one morning - turkey bacon and a mt. dew! :) He still hasn't let me live that one down...On the weekends I usually make a full breakfast - fruit, eggs, bacon, cheese grits and toast for my DH and yummy crepes for me with brown sugar just like my grandma used to make!

Sometimes it's leftover pizza. Sometimes it's a natural ovens bagel, cinnamon & raisin is my favorite. Or maybe a bowl of Cream of Wheat. I have to eat breakfast, or I'll be hungry all day. Mornings that none of us are rushing off to work or somewhere fun we'll go out to a local diner, or my favorite husband will make a "train wreck": hash browns & cheese & scrambled eggs all wrecked up in his big frying pan.

Today it ended up as homemade mashed potatoes with parmesan cheese and fresh ground pepper on top for me (gussied up the toddler's leftovers from supper) and chai cold tea, Palermo's Thin supreme pizza for him and ice water for him, peanut buttered banana and chocolate milk for the toddler--these mixed up morning menus come about when you work different off shifts and also when you have a toddler and you don't want to throw perfectly good food away.

My dear daughter, one of my very bestest friends, had given me a Christmas gift of a certificate to a local restaurant group. This includes a trattoria (Stefano's Trattoria), a pizzaria vera (Il Ritrovo), a locally-grown-organic grocery & restaurant (Field To Fork), & a British pub (Duke of Devon). She & I had breakfast today at Field To Fork. Freshly squeezed juice, coffee (they roast their own), and brulee'd french toast (from their homemade Italian bread) with fresh fruit. Oh, yum! I never would have thought of brulee-ing french toast, it was fantastic!
