Lynne had a wonderful suggestion that post discussion threads by chapters so that we don't spoil the book for readers going faster or slower!

I will also try to find a reading club guide and post some of the discussion questions from that as well!

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! I check in throughout the day and always check my PM.

Thanks - Wendi

Alright! Here we go!! W00t!

I will hit my local library tomorrow (closed on Tues.) and see if I can find it/request interlibrary loan for it, and go from there. I won't know til the afternoon, though since our library is only open from 3-7 Mon, Wed-Fri. and Sat. 11-1. Isn't that bizarre?

Hmmm - I guess with that few, you can't get away with anything! Is it like those small towns you hear about where everyone knows everything that is going on? :)

Here we hardly know our neighbors! It's actually kind of sad!

Some know what you're doing, and some know what someone says you are doing. Not exactly the same thing! lol

Mine's in transit through inter library loan. I ordered it a couple of days ago because it looked like it was winning in the poll. I figure I'd read it either way anyway!

I'm a little behind, but I just called the library and they have a copy at another branch. They are going to call me when it gets to mine!! I'm so bad for not using our main library more often--it's only 1/2 mile from my house!!!

They also have the second book and have reserved it for me for May 1st!

I'm so glad you started this Wendi. I love to read, but have been really bad about making the time for it!! It will be fun to be reading it at the same time as others, getting different viewpoints, etc.

How will things go now?? Do we discuss it a chapter at a time? How do you keep the faster readers from giving it away to the slower readers. Sorry if these questions seem silly, I'm just not at all familiar with how this will go, as I have never done it before.:o

Don't worry about it! I've done it myself, and if it's been done once in this forum it's been done dozens of times! lol

I am having trouble getting the book, I called my local library, and they dont have ANY copies??? So I will see if I can find it elsewhere...if not I will wait for the next book, if that is okay?

Yeah, Liz, waiting is fine. You don't have to do all of the books to join in! There are some posts about where to get books really reasonable around the forum, too! I'm not sure of the titles of the threads, though... Will someone please give me an assist on this?? Thanks!!

I have looked at those...but even though it is just a little bit...I dont have the extra to spend on it...I was hoping the library would have it...lol! I am going to check the nearby towns library...they are connected in with ours so I can borrow books from there...Wish me luck! :)

Best of Luck!! Do you have interlibrary loan where you are? They hook up with other libraries to fill requests when they don't have it.

I will go tomorrow and check out the used stores in Joplin. If they have them reasonably priced, I will let you know here how many they have. If they are cheap or I can trade in and get it free I will send one to Liz so she can read with us too!

I just now checked this so I am also a little behind!

Does anyone have a paperbackswap account? I just went to sign up and it asked me if anyone referred me - I wanted to put some name in there just in case the referral person gets a credit for referring x amount of people - does anyone know about this, or if paperbackswap even does that?

I just sent you a PM - they do that - so be sure you use yourself as a referral to your friends once you have signed up! They do that on their SwapaDVD and SwapaCD sites too - I've done more on the dvd site, but love the book site too!

Please let me know if you have any questions once you get on there - I'm on and off the computer all day! :)
