I am always at a loss when there are a bunch of new products out all at once, that claim to reduce wrinkles, etc. How can I find out which one might really do something? I'm trying the new Neutrogena cream w/ retinol and helioplex (a new longer lasting spf system). seems nice so far, but I keep being romanced by ads. Like the Aveeno w/ mushrooms. hmmm. Does anyone have anything they like that they actually saw a difference from?

The only thing that has every actually worked to improve my skin is cleansing with oils. I know it sounds really counter-intuitive, especially if you have oily skin, but it really works. Every time I allow myself to get romanced by the ads and try some new product, I start having issues with my pore size or fine lines or just the overall texture of my skin. It's called the Oil Cleaning Method (OCM). Try googling it. I use a mixture of castor oil and olive oil to cleanse my skin. The texture improves, the oilies go away, my fine lines plump out, my breakouts and blackheads go away. It's awesome!

I'll look it up. I did get all excited about emu oil and ordered some and some emu oil soap, which is what I've been using, but I haven't tried straight oil.
The emu oil soap is really nice tho. I'll go to google and check out what you said.
It doesn't help that my sis in law to be, sells Mary Kay. I got a regimen from her, and it's okay, but I don't see any real results. the dermabrasion set has made it a little smoother, but I didn't have much problem with that anyway.

Oh good luck! I hope you like it as much as I do! If it works or if it doesn't, post back to let me know what you think.:D

Speaking of the olive oil, DHC has a line that contains olive oil. Their products are quite nice but expensive.

DHC's olive oil cleanser if fabulous! I love it, but it's too $$$ for me. They modified the olive oil so that it rinses away easier.

Jennifer, you mean to tell me cleaning your face with these oils actually help get rid of pimples and the oilies? I have to be very careful of what I use because it seems so much makes me break out..and that is terrible since I am over 40. Right now I am using Oil of Olay Age Defying Cleaner, which helps with the oils, but I still have blackheads on my nose and some recurring pimples. I just want to make sure I read what you wrote correctly!

Thanks.

Glad2BeeAlive - Yes, I mean using oils. My face breaks out every time I try using something else. My skin was so clear when I was a teen, but I seem to get pimples so easily now that I'm in my 30s! It's called the "Oil Cleaning Method" or "OCM" for short. You can google it. I can send you to a forum that goes into it in depth. I'll PM because I don't know if you can post links to other forums here.

It could be possible. I am 41 although I tell everyone 36 My face is extremely dry. I use like 7 different creams if I don't I get pimples I call mine dry skin pimples.

All the moisturizer keep me from breaking out could be something to the oils.

It is very interesting I'm going to look it up just for the knowledge. :)

I agree that it's very confusing listening to all of these different claims from lots of companies trying to sell their products. I happen to sell AVON products and my customers love the ANEW line of products. I would be willing to send you some of our samples. We have a whole line of ANEW products, that lift, tighten, help with wrinkles and lines, etc... I would be willing to talk more with you about it. We actually have a new line of ANEW called the ANEW Clinical. Take a look at my website www.youravon.com/csheppard and "contact me" in the upper right-hand corner.

I love that line. I use almost the whole line!
