I really liked the Aveeno Positively Ageless Serum and think I may buy it--depending on price!
I also was pleasantly suprised to like the Microwaveable Hamburger Helper. The hamburger was a little chewy but the sauce tasted pretty good. Still up in air about buying it but the $1.00 coupon is an incentive. ;)
I also loved the Dove Shampoo/Conditioner in the Dark Blue Bottles--it worked great in my thick curly hair and I plan on buying it next payday.

I have purchased two different Dove products that I really liked. One was the body wash, and the other was the hand soap. I never buy Dove, but I loved those two samples. Plus, like vealcalf said, those $1.00 off coupons they send with the samples are a bonus! :)
Ohh, and I bought those Quaker Mini Rice Caramel Cakes that came in the "Oprah Tote" this year. Yummy!

I have purchased some Dove products too. Love the liquid hand soap. I ghave also purchased the Sunsilk Shampoo. Alavert Allergy Meds, I thought the scent of the Dial Spring Water Soap was nice, but have not purchased it yet. .My daughter like the Ban deodorant and has purchased that.
I keep hearing about the Oprah tote, how is everyone getting that?

I have bought the Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal as a result of a sample. Nothing else yet though.
I got the Hamburger Helper packet too, but was disappointed to see that it has 2 grams of trans fat per serving. I definitely won't be purchasing that.

...but I have already bought several things as a result of the samples I have received in the past couple of weeks. I honeslty didn't think I would end up buying anything from them, just planned on enjoying the freebies.
So far, I have bought the whole line of John Frieda Brilliant Brunette products (the Shine Shock product is FANTASTIC!!!), Dove Cream Oil Body Wash, and some makeup from Everyday Minerals. Have all the ladies taken part in their awesome sample program? The price you pay in shipping and handling is nothing compared to the excellent packaging and the amount of great product that they give you. And the great thing is that they will send you one sample kit with each order. Awesome stuff.

i just signed up last night, I went to www.everydayminerals.com and at the top selected Kits. When you scroll down you'll see Free Samples. You do pay for shipping but it's only 3.95. You also select the colors you want for foundation, blush, and concealer, so it's custom samples. Hope they come!:)

I have bought several items I would never have never tried if it hadn't been for the sample. One that sticks out in my mind is the new potato chip from frito lay/flat earth. I got the sample at walmart. The chips are a serving of veggies and come in odd flavors like mango and the purple chip is berry. We now love the sun dried tomato they are pricier so if it had not been for the sample.
I also bought the almay lipstick after I complained about my sample being almost empty. I loved it and the color.
The hamburger helper stuff I wasn't a big fan it works ok for a quick lunch for my daughter.I had real good coupon so probably won't buy again unless another coupon comes around.
The absorbine gel as soon as I locate it we will purchase both me and hubby liked that.
I'm sure theres been more but off the top of my head thats about it! The samples do help change !!

I'm glad to see that someone else didn't hate these. There is a whole thread in General Discussion about how bad these are. I think you should put a post in there about liking them. So far I am the only one who has said something positive about them in that link.

After trying the samples, I had to go out and buy the John Frieda Shampoo with Light Intensifiers and Dove Calming Night. Unfortunately, I don't think the Calming Night body lotion is even on the market, because CVS, Walgreen's, Target, and Wal-Mart do not carry it, and I could not find it through any of the mail-order drugstores, either. But the shower gel is still good.
I might go out and buy the Dove pro·age body cream oil. Even though it seems like a product intended for people older than me, I really liked the way my skin felt after I used it. I get really dry skin, and this stuff was absorbed pretty quickly.

A heads up on this and other samples, just because someone says they would buy, or have gotten in the past a sample does not mean it is still available and if it is not available we get rid of it here by either deleting or closing the thread. so sad to say there is no link for the Oprah tote, and if it becomes available again you can bet someone will post it here, so stay tuned!

The Oprah Tote:
Every year she sends out a tote of samples of her favorite things. The first 5,000 people to sign up get one. I was lucky enough to receive on this year. They go so fast!! There was full sized shampoo & conditioner, and lotion in this year's. Along with all the other samples. I was very pleased with it. She sends them out Fed Ex, so they come out within a month of signing up.
This is what was inside the tote:
Jergens natural glow Daily Moisturizers
Soy Joy Bar
Quaker Breakfast Cookies
St. Ives Healthy Brilliance Renew & Glow
Jennie-O Lean Ground Turkey
J’adore fragrance
L’OCCITANE Samples
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch

True Lemon & True Lime packets. No sweeteners, just nice tart citrus flavor that dissolves in whatever. In ice water, over hot veggies etc. Yum. My hubby & I both carry a couple of packets just in case we can't get lemon or lime wedges in ice water.
I understand they're coming out with a True Orange as well, can't wait to try it!

Now, understand, all coffee samples taste very good--not knocking any of them, but the Mr. Coffee coffee sample was delicious! Contacted Mr. Coffee about where to buy it after looking in several stores unsuccessfully--soon available online and already in some select store chains, though, alas none near me. We're patient, so we will keep checking online and in other stores until we can buy some full size bags for ourselves, friends, and family!

I love Dove Cool Sensations Anti-Perspirant Deodorant with Cucumber & Green Tea Extracts - got a couple samples of this and have since bought a few full size sticks. I agree with many others - Dove samples are all great.
I gave my Secret Clinical Strength sample to a friend who always complained of sweating under the arms, would have to apply deoderant several times a day - and she loves it says it works great!
Wow, sounds like I only sample deoderant - ha!
Also enjoy Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and Peroxide toothpaste - really does help whiten teeth.
I got the recent Dunkin Donuts coffee sample (think it was from Walmart) and I plan to purchase this as soon as our current supply runs out. We got spoiled on Kona coffee from Hawaii, but Dunkin Donuts beans taste great and fresh too!
There are so many samples that I love! The Pure Essentials line from Tide with Aloe and White Lilac is great - I've bought the tide and matching downy after a sample from them. I'd be interested in the Chamomile and Lemon Verbena scent - has anyone tried this?

Ooh, I forgot about the Tide Pure Essentials samples--yes, you're right, they are so nice! My Mom bought the chamomile and lemon verbena scent recently and I used some when we visited over the weekend--it smells just as nice as the aloe and white lilac.

Oh, just this morning I was preparing a yummy crockpot meal (baked ziti with meatballs) and remembered a great sample that I've bought many times since first learning about the product from a sample - crock pot liners - saves me from having the huge crock pot soaking in the sink for a day after a good meal! Love those things!

I tried the Sunsilk samples. Didn't like the shampoo or the conditioner, but I totally love the 24/7 creme! That stuff is awesome. I have wavy, long hair and the ends are like a hundred years old. (Yup, it was born before I was. True story :p ) Anyway, I like it because it cuts the frizzies and makes my hair look shiny and spiffy! I went and bought a full size bottle. I forgot my coupon at home, but it had one on the bottle for $1 off anyway!

After I got that Sunsilk sample (the one that came with all three - some shampoo, conditioner, and mousse) I used it, I has selected the one for fuller hair/volume, and my hair was soooo full and bouncy that day it was incredible. It felt good all day! So I went out and bouught the Shampoo and mousse with the two $1 off coupons that came with the samples.

That I can think of:
- Dove Smooth Cashmere deodorant.... somehow they have sent me all kinds of samples of this, one just a couple weeks ago, and it's been ages since I requested any, so their mailing list must just keep hiccuping? lol Anyway, I had coupons that were about to expire, so I bought some last night, converted me from Secret. :) (I did like the Secret Clinical, but wow! is it expensive...)
- Dove hand soap... they knew what they were doing when they sent out that awesome 3oz or so pump-bottle as a sample. After it was gone and I went back to my pump of Softsoap, I noticed my hands getting dried out!
- Last night I bought my 2nd round of John Frieda Curl Around shampoo/conditioner. It's too expensive to use *everyday*, but it does turn my wavy hair into nice controlled curls when I know I'm going to be out-n-about :) I hate trying to style my hair, never been my thing, and this basically does it for me.
- Quaker Granola Bites, I like to have granola bars or something on me in case I'm unexpectedly out (I'm the type that likes to try and be prepared for anything ;) ), these work well for that.
- Garden Harvest veggie flavored chips, tho I do really need to be in the mood for them at the moment to enjoy them.
- I'd like to buy the Tide White Lilac stuff, but every time I compare Tide's price to my usual, even with coupons/sales, I cringe and can't pick it up :p I did buy the dryer sheets (Bounce?) in it though.

You know, I thought it would benefit us if we thanked the companies that we got samples from, then afterward bought the product. And, especially stress that it was the free sample we found at a sample site that convinced us to buy! I think this would help because sample givers are always slammin' sample sites, like we just horde the little packages or something and waste their time, when in fact, we are consumers and if you're listed on a sample site, word gets out about your product!

Some manufacturers actually respond when you do, but others just ignore you, and you feel like your thoughtfully written letter to them just went in the trash. Doesn't keep me from still complimenting companies on good products, though!

Well, I'd kinda just like to impress upon them that sample sites create customers, so that they don't pull the offers when they get listed, and perhaps with enough responses, more samples will be offered because we do buy products that we've tried and like. I think it could eventually help us all to get more samples. Like a lobbyist for Congress or something. Squeeky wheel gets the grease! lol

Might as well go ahead and try it. It's a better snack than a piece of cake or a brownie. I've gained weight, too, the last few years so we are trying to eat healthier. It's hard with limited funds. Fruit, turkey instead of bologne, light dressing, fake butter - they are all a lot more expensive.

One bar contains 5% of your daily allowance of saturated fat and 6g of sugar. But it has no nutritional value whatsoever--no vitamins, no minerals (except for a little iron).
Link to nutritional info (http://www.thedailyplate.com/food-nutrition/food/nabisco/nutter-butter-chewy-granola-bars-100-calorie-packs)
If people are perceiving this as "healthy," then it's no wonder we're facing an obesity epidemic in this country.

Lynne already said she eats fruit, and she didn't say it was healthy, she said it was better than eating a piece of cake or a brownie. Calorie-wise, it is. Not everyone is completely literal-minded in their thinking, so perhaps Lisa didn't really mean to say that these are healthy. Regardless, some of us like to eat junk food every once in awhile anyway, and not all of us are fat! So there! :p

Everyone has different perceptions as to what is healthy. If someone ate candy all the time and cut it out totally then eating a 100 calorie pack is healthy to them. They have changed their lifestyle and gradually moving towards "healthier options."

Okay. I said hubby says we are "eating healthy". That means not too much to me. I did not say that I was making nutter butters my entire existance. I am aware of fruit. I like fruit. I have a good relationship with fruit. I did say that I may buy one . Somehow, I just don't see a lifelong commitment in that statement. I don't see a definite yes, either.
Thanks everyone for the concern. No worries I have apples and oranges in the kitchen. Not a nutter butter in my home.

Dove products, but my favorite was the mural sample from wall dressed up. They had them free with free shipping for a while, but now they charge $1.00 S&H:( . The sample was small, but pretty cool. It was different than I expected. I thought it'd be a sticker, but it is more like a tattoo. I am going to order the Butterfly mural this week for my daughter. I got the mini mascara that forms the tubes over your lashes. I love it. It is crazy when you pull them off too. It doesn't run or anything when you sweat or cry cause you have to have warm water and you have to pull them off. It is great. They also have eye liner I am thinking of buying. When you get the sample it comes with a coupon for $5 and free shipping. They are like $25 for a full size, but it is really worth it. I believe it is called Blinc or something like that. I know the mascara has Kiss in the name also.

I bought the Dove Shampoo with the Grapefruit fragrance (Yellow Bottle) Smells so good! goes great with the other grapefruit fragrance items I got from Brandy, they all smell so fresh!
I have received 2 of these samples, and I like Dove, but it seems to be too much for my hair, it weighs it down and makes it kind of oily. But I used both of my samples this week, and I actually think I like this one! It's more light weight, and I agree, it does smell fresh! ;)

Wow! I got this sample in the mail today and I have to say it's one of the nicest samples I've ever received in terms of the size/quantity. They sent a full sized roll of toilet paper (I was expecting something like the little travel tp roll you can buy in the travel size bins at Target :) )
Has anyone else gotten this yet?

WOW...........where do I begin??? The last few months, I have received either samples or coupons for products that I now absolutely LOVE and will continue to buy and use.
PUREX 3IN1
I will never go back to liquid or powder detergent/softeners.
I like all three scents...........I have 8 of these. Between the $2 off coupons and sales at Fred Meyer......they were a steal.
BATTER BLASTER
The absolute easiest way to make pancakes for the grandkids.
Convenient and tasty but a little pricey. I will still use though. Again, through the use of coupon otherwise I would have never tried this.
NEWMANS OWN THIN CRUST PIZZA
Does not taste like frozen pizza. High quality and everyone loves them.
Coupons and sale prices at Fred Meyer led me to this.
MARIE CALLENDERS PASTA AL DENTE MEALS
Love, Love, Love these. Using a get one free coupon urged me to try them and now, they are in my freezer always.
KRAFT BAGELFULS
Coupons led me to these and I have one every day. Like the plain ones and strawberry. The best of both worlds..........cream cheese and bagels.
L'OREAL EVERPURE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
When I tried the sample, I was amazed how wonderful my hair felt. Being sulfate free is why this product is so amazing. Even if you don't color your hair, I recommend using this. Many coupons have been in paper and at L'Oreal site. I will NEVER use any other shampoo (well except the samples I guess....:) )!!
L'OREAL ADVANCED REVITALIFT PRODUCTS
Using the coupons allowed me to purchase a few and I love them.
I use the nighttime moisturizer and the DOUBLE EYE LIFT cream and gel.
They keep putting coupons in the Sunday paper but do check their site for coupon offers too.
JERGENS NATURAL GLOW FACIAL MOISTURIZER
I used the sample and was very impressed w/the golden tan it puts on you.
I not only purchased the Facial Moisturizer after loving the sample but the NATURAL GLOW body moisturizer. My legs and arms have a nice healthy glow and tan. This works quickly........in just a couple of days.......you can be tanned. You will see a difference after ONE application.
BARE MINERALS FOUNDATION
I just received my samples (there was a shipping fee) three days ago. I have been using this ever since. I will be checking out their other products since I really like this.
DHC WRINKLE FILLER
I have had this sample sitting around for months. So I gave it a try yesterday and it is AMAZING! Instantly it smooths your wrinkles around your eyes, forehead and mouth. You simply apply it wherever you are prone to wrinkle.
I went to their site and ordered a catalog. You can get one free or pay $2 and they send you catalog, samples and $5 off coupon.
I do intend to buy the WRINKLE FILLER when I get my coupon.

Crest ProHealth.
Emergen-C. Used the free samples when I had a cold and cold was gone next day.
Pantene shampoo. (Natural Expressions)
Garnier Fructis age defying moisturizer. But I don't use it for the face. I use it on my hands/arms. Gets rid of croc. skin.
Mary Kay Timewise.
