How do you make homemade baby food?

I tried putting carrots in a blender to make baby food. Well, my daughter would not eat it. So, I tasted it ( no I dont eat baby food LOL) and it was disgusting. So, how do you make tasty baby food in a blender?

angie... you need to add a little bit of water to them and seasoning like salt for veggies. Just a tiny bit of salt, enough to give flavor.

I steam the veggies to get them soft and kill bacteria, then mash them with a fork or cut them up small. I've never had problems with my son eating it that way (used the blender a few times too - gotta add a bit of water if you use the blender), but on occasion add some chicken broth - he seemed to like that too.

I used a baby food mill. I never bought baby food I just ground up what ever we ate.If we had left over veggis I would grind them and freeze them in ice cube trays.After they froze I stored them in ziplok bags.I also added water as needed to make it the right consistancy.

Ditto thats what I did also the icecube tray thing worked great.

My friend that just had a baby does this all the time. I would never have thought to do this until she was telling me about it. I will have to do this when I have a child.
