If anyone is from Upstate New York/Canada or planning on visiting Niagara Falls area.Click on link below and also click on right of page. There are plenty of offers from merchants for boat ride, Ripleys, free jam, etc. (too many to list)I check this site out before we visit. It's also very pretty to see the falls.Rules do apply.http://www.infoniagara.com/vacation/index.html

Definately something that EVERYONE should see! My childhood home is only 4 hours from the Falls. We went every summer to the Canadian side. It is and will always be one of my favorite places to go. I think I have been there at least 50 times!
FYI for anyone that may be going soon........you must now have a passport even by car!
If anyone decides to go and needs some "things to do" suggestions, let me know. I would be more than happy to help. And you must go to the Welland Canal and watch the ships go through the locks! It is incredible to see.
I will have to see if I can find some photo's from my last trip a few years ago. I will post them after I find them.

I had heard that was postponed (US/Canada) passports until late in 2008? We had planned a "one last time" trip to the Canadian side this spring, being under that assumption (we do not want to invest in passports as we will never use them).

There has been much controversy over it. I would suggest calling the US Consulate to find out for sure. Better safe than sorry!
