Duke Energy Efficiency Kit – KY, OH & IN
Receive a Free Engery Efficiency Starter Kit when you complete the easy to use Home Energy Calculator. This energy efficiency kit is available to Duke Energy single family home customers in Kentucky who have not received an efficiency kit from any other offer in the past three years.
Your free kit will include compact fluorescent light bulbs, weather stripping, faucet aerators and other items that will make your home more energy efficient.
Easy steps to get your free energy efficiency kit:
1. Go to the Home Energy Calculator and complete a few questions about your home. Press the calculate button.
2. Your initial input will estimate your base home energy costs. Follow the directions at the top of the page to calculate and compare other scenarios to discover measures or actions that will reduce your energy bill.
3. When you are finished, click the link to "request an Energy Efficiency Starter Kit" and fill in the application. You will need your Duke Energy account number from your bill.

How do I qualify?
You qualify for a free Home Energy House Call if you:
Are a Duke Energy customer
Own your single-family home and have lived there for at least four months
Have an electric water heater and/or electric heat
How it Works
A trained energy spe******t will visit your home, at your convenience, to conduct a thorough in-home analysis. The energy spe******t will:
Analyze your total home energy usage
Check your home for air leaks
Examine your insulation levels
Review your appliances and heating/cooling system
From the information collected, a custom-tailored report detailing steps you can take to increase efficiency and reduce your energy bill is prepared and mailed to you within 10 days.
