Are these legit sites? I don't want to click on any sites that require you to register and have tons of pop ups while trying to fill out the information.
I've clicked on a couple of sample sites in the past and ended up with spyware and pop ups and from this forum too. So I want to make sure these aren't sites with spyware and pop ups before I go clicking away.

The sites I listed are all legit sites that I have been a member of for a while. I have never had a problem with popup's since I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer and I have never gotten any spyware from these sites. Keep in mind if you click on their ad's I cannot guarantee anything there. I don't click on ads in any site - if I want to view a company's info I go to their site directly not through a hyperlink.

Some of the sites might required you to register (don't remember it has been a while). Some only require you to register to submit a post like this forum.

Sites that I visit:

www.mysavings.com updated daily with cool free samples-you do register but it's one simple form just for the site and doesn't require you to sign up w/any other sites.

www.imdb.com internet movie database-if you like Celebrity and Movie news you can get lost for hrs clicking on biographies. I visit the Movie News Section Daily.

www.cnn.com cool to know what's going on in the news

www.flixster.com nice place to rate movies. Caution: If you don't want a ton of people sending you messages like "Hi, do u wanna be my friend" then set your profile to private.

www.allrecipes.cm I love to cook and this this site is awesome.

www.findadeath.com interesting facts on celebrity deaths. Ok I'm morbid!

www.snopes.com learn about urban legends and which stories are true and which ones are not.

www.walmart for free samples of course!

www.samplescoop.com not only do you view free samples but you can also email them about any free samples not listed and you'll earn points towards the top prize at the end of the month -- (((warning)))some people have hundreds of points each month so it takes a lot of work to earn the top spot.

Most of the sites mentioned are Great!

However i've been freebie hunting for a while now and I'd still say with out a doubt if you want a fresh new list of freebies everyday to grab, and don't want to be ran through the mill just to get them- then

Yesall4free.com (http://www.yesall4free.com/index.html) is still the best.

I've used it longer than any other free site, and every single day they have a fresh new list in a place they call the Free Vault (http://www.yesall4free.com/InsideTheVaultofGoodies.html)- You can't beat it!

Hi everyone loving this site

I noticed that Sadler19 asked if yesall4free is True

I've used yesall4free.com for a while now, and I must say that most of the freebies they have listed actually turns up

Best part about them and why I love them so much.. they don't list freebies where you have to sign up for something else to get it.

that alone is worth gold to me :) well saves me a lot of freebie hunting time anyway

Yes, Pretty good website. I take a look at it everyday to see if anything new is there that isn't here or the other freebie sites i use daily. It is a nice website, very simple to navigate through. The only thing i don't like about that site...is when you click on a link it doesn't pull up another page...it just uses the page your on. So it is a little more work to keep getting back to their homepage.

I'm sure you have no idea how many hours me and carol spend deleting a bunch of junk! If you user would do a simple search before you post that would free up some time.We might be able to go back and check to see if things have expired.Do you have any idea of how many posts for drugs and **** we delete daily?

Since your disappointed maybe you should look around for a better site to visit. Believe me when I say I get disappointed in many posters as well! :(

Gee I hope you are not referring to this site, if you are then all I can say is too bad, we Debbie and myself) try hard to please, with spam hourly, messages to and from members daily, checking sites to make sure they are ok, deleting double posts, and other items you can't see, especially the spam that does not go away for us, we have no way to get rid of it, delete yes, but it is in plain view for us, so you may have to look through 4-7 pages we have a good 25-35 pages to check. Now if you or anyother member think we are not doing a good job, you all have the option to email the owners of this site, the information is at the bottom of the page, let them know what you think, OH by the way, this job has NO perks at all, no freebies, no gifts, no points, no money, no nothing, it is a service that was asked of us, that is it.

Actually thats not right!

the vault changes pretty much every single day with out fail

Every now and again I have logged on and seen the vault only have a few changed but when I refresh the page 10 minutes later they are all New offers.

They must be changing them over at those times.

Hey at least all the offers are real and easy to get

I'm sure you have no idea how many hours me and carol spend deleting a bunch of junk! If you user would do a simple search before you post that would free up some time.We might be able to go back and check to see if things have expired.Do you have any idea of how many posts for drugs and **** we delete daily?

Since your disappointed maybe you should look around for a better site to visit. Believe me when I say I get disappointed in many posters as well! :(

Debbie,

I for one am very thankful for this site!! I think you guys are doing a wonderful job! I very rarely find something bad here, and when it is, I look at the icon to the left, and most of the time, the post has been closed.

Thanks for all your time and effort!!!!!

Mom and Carol, I think that elliedoom was talking about yesall4free.com. She highlighted fireball's comment that said "Let me know what you think" and that is all that she was doing. Look back at it and you will see that she wasn't insulting startsampling's forum or either of you. Most of us have seen alot of the inappropriate posts that are on here and know that you are both doing a fine job trying to keep this forum what it is- a great place to visit! Thanks!!

I have to agree with Catherine. I feel like elliedoom was talking about the other site, not this one.

All I have to say is that I would not want to be a moderator! I think it's a darn shame that they aren't giving you two some kind of reward or perk. They should be!

Don't know if it's already been mentioned, but I like to visit couponcabin.com. If I know an online store is having a sale I like to stop here and see if I can find additional coupon codes to get a bigger deal. There is also a forum where the sites creator list additional deals. This site will be a great resource when it comes time to Christmas shopping!

I always check this place before ordering online. I get the coupon code and then shop through American Airlines to I get the mileage there! It's double the rewards because then I can use my airline miles to get gift cards through Points.com!!! I love to shop and this is the best way to get all that I want!!

However this one had toll-free phone numbers you call to get the sample, rather than having to fill out email forms...does anyone know where or what this site is?? I've searched EVERYWHERE and cant find it. Or, maybe it doesnt exist any more....??

The forum looked interesting. I started to sign up but I was into about my
4th page of offers, and decided that it was a bit much. Should have stopped at the first one.
Most things like that mean Spam offers galore shortly after.
I have never went through so much Just to join a forum.
Anyone had a good ofr bad experience?

I Love Start Sampling's site. I have been a member for many years close to 9 or 10 years now if not more. I always wondered why there was no forum. So this is a nice change.
I love sampling and coupon collecting. Hope to meet many new friends.

Yes- I went through the same thing--It is most likely your internet security--whatever you need to do to turn off your security temporarily is probably your answer--it is different for different programs--
This is what I do: after I am at the sample page(you were in the right place)
I right click on my antivirus icon and use the snooze option and I right click on my firewall icon and shut it down--then I refresh the page, order my samples, and immediately restore the security settings
There are 6 samples on the page now I think.
I also have the same problem with the samples for sam's club--
most other places are fine but if you ever can't find the place to click on for a sample--just try the same. Some pages even don't look like anything is missing. Sometimes everything would show up for me for a walmart sample, everything except that little button that says "free sample"
Hope this helps!:)

I thought I would give a heads up to any of you that use www.samplegrab.com (formerly known as Sample Scoop). I got an email that said today would be their last day.

This is what it said:

We are saddened to say that SampleGrab.com will be
discontinued as of 12:00 midnight CST on September
10th, 2007.

Over the past several months, SampleGrab has become a
destination site for many consumers, like you, who are
seeking out the best product samples and high-value
coupons on the internet. Unfortunately, we don’t have
the infrastructure to keep up with the demand of this
website, so we’ve made the difficult decision to close
it down.

If you are interested in continuing to seek out the
best product samples and coupons on the Internet, we
strongly recommend two websites…

SampleSeen.com
StartSampling.com.
Both websites are trustworthy, and won’t waste your
time with offers that require you to spend money or
give up a lot of personal information.

We hope you enjoyed using SampleGrab.com as much as we
enjoyed building it for you. We look forward to the
possibility of interacting with you in the future,
when we have more resources to put against a website
like this.

All the Best…

The SampleGrab Team

I had entered the contest about submitting samples/coupons at their site. One prize was supposed to go to the person with the most submissions and the other was random. I actually had the most, but they made a mistake and gave it to the person next to my name on the list. I contacted them to question this and they said they would send me the Amazon gift card because they had made a mistake. Then 2 days later I got this message, so I don't know if I will get it or not. If you want to see the totals I am Catherine P (IL).

I found it interesting that they mentioned StartSampling in their email. I have never tried the SampleSeen site, I will have to check that one out.

I am a new member of this forum, I joined specifically to reply to your post as well as your fellow moderators post. Both of you should be completely ashamed of your postings. If I was your boss or supervisor both of you would have been fired. I don't know what your salary is, and I don't care. You have a job to do and the people that use this forum are your customers. You do not talk to customers in the rude manner you did in that post. In order to keep a business running you have to take care of your customers. Who Cares how long it takes you to edit posts and delete posts. THIS IS YOUR JOB and THIS IS WHAT You Are Paid for. I personally would like to have the owner or your supervisors contact information so that I am able to dicuss the lack of customer service skills the moderators posses. You have been extremely unprofessional and should be reprimanded, if not fired.

Does anyone else think I am a rude moderator? Seriously, I try so hard to be fair and courteous to everyone. Posts like this just confuse the heck out of me.

Maybe this is what the complaining is about BUT noone was rude. The moderators here do a great job AND on their own time.............I am a moderator on another forum and it is many hours of work but do it because I love the members and want to keep a great forum going.....I do not know what the other poster is referring to about being rude.............AND the members here are not customers.........we are simply members of this community. So MODS............I appreciate all you do and have not read one rude comment from you!!:)

As I stated I am a new member of this forum and I came across postings by 2 moderators in particular, which were extremely rude and illmannered. I belong to several forums and I have never seen any of the moderators talk to the fellow posters in such an out & out rude manner.

Yes the posters here are "members of a community" but at the same time they are also customers utilizing a website. If it wasn't for the members or customers of the community their would be no website.

I have spoken with adminstration as well as another moderator regarding the situation. I guarantee the first time one of these moderators speak to me in this manner it will be the last time. I have no idea why the person they were going off on did not report them at that time. She clearly wasn't even speaking to them or about them. I am sorry the moderators don't get paid for doing their job, but if they have an issue with it.................Then they need to find another line of work.

I'm sure I have come across as an evil B_tch on my first day or two here, I don't care. There are proper ways to address your fellow human beings and this was not one of them.

I peronally am normally a easy going, timid, gentle, funny intellegent human being, that likes to laugh joke and cut up a lot. But I cannot deal with rudeness, illmanners and down right nastiness. So imagine my shock when I came across those postings. It takes a lot and I mean a lot to get me riled and fired up. Whether the moderators realize it or not the posters are their customers, and they do need to handle them with kid gloves, because with out the posters (customers) there would be absolutely no forum.

I still haven't decided whether I plan to remain or not. If episodes such as this are common place, it won't take me long to get my hat. And I will definately put the word out "on the street" what type of things happen here.

I keep reading how rude the moderators are, but I dare ya to show me one example of where I've been rude to anyone???

Does anyone else think I am a rude moderator? Seriously, I try so hard to be fair and courteous to everyone. Posts like this just confuse the heck out of me.

BTW, Carol, Deb, Liz, and I are peer moderators, which means we don't get paid.

Mom2fussbudgets,

I was not referring to you when I submitted this reply. I wish to thank you for caring enough to contact me regarding the situation. I Truthfully wished I hadn't come across the posting which was so rude and nasty. Everyone is confused by my using the term customers, instead of community members. I used the term customers since the people that own this website and service are providing a service to the people that use it, hense the term customer. I referred to the moderators as providing customer service, since basically the moderators are the community members guides or leads and the connection to the administration. Plus they provide the community members with services, hense the term customer service.

I am sorry I got everyones bowels in an uproar. I just personally cannot believe what I read. I know for positively sure in the corporate world if something like this was to have happened the person responsible would be out on the street. As a matter of fact whether it was the corporate world or not, I cannot thing of any employer that would tolerate this form of conduct.

YES...cath31..... yesall4free is NOW shop4freebies.com And it happens to be a WONDERFUL site...nothing and I mean NOTHING is posted that you have to even pay a penny. And none of that...fill out 20 gazillion offers first stuff either. I've gotten many many freebies from the postings there already!

I'm subscribed to many many freebies "newsletters" but it seems all I get in those are those crappy offers filling out all the OTHER offers.

I alway check http://www.retailmenot.com/ before I buy anything online. They are a collection of online coupon codes for almost any online store. I check this site before buying anything online...you can almost surely get a discount here. Just type in the web address of the online store you want to check out, and it lists codes for discounts submitted by consumers.

Some sites have some deals mixed in with the freebies, like % off sales or no shipping codes, but none of that "complete two offers from this and two offers from that, etc," kind of stuff. I also found a few more sites in the postings in this thread.

Hey everyone,
I am looking to join a paid survery opinion site and I wanted to know what you gals reccomend. I know some of them are duds out there and I am looking to avoid that. Please let me know:

- how long youve been with the site
- how much the avg survey pays as opposed to how long it is
- if they constantly ask you during the survey to sign up for things
- if you've ever gotten some adware/viruses from the site or sites it sends you to
- if you have cashed out/recieved payment from them yet, and in what manner do they do this (check, etc?)
- how often they have new surveys and how many available

Any guidance you can provide is extremely appreciated -thanks in advance!!

There are two other threads that might be helpful to you about this. They are both under "Websites you Visit". I started one titled 'Legitimate survey and click to earn sites' and there is one Vanilla Bean started titled 'Anyone do surveys??!!!' You can get alot of information/opinions from reading those two threads. Hope that helps. If you have any more specific questions about any that I posted about, just ask or you can PM me.

I visit pinchingyourpennies.com a lot. You can register and it's totally free.

They have forums for each state that have deals for grocery stores. It looks like Utah, Arizona, Texas, Washington and Nevada are the most active but they have a main forum that shows you deals you can get for national stores like CVS, Walgreens, Kmart, etc. They also have online deals, ones in the mail, and to print, etc.

It was on pinchingyourpennies.com that I read a post that lead me to startsampling!

when you sign up for mysavings.com you have to opt out of their offers. Also they aren't like participation required offers, they are opt in and out for emails from their sponsers. After you do that, it has a page that offers the "newest free samples". At this point it is just like the other sites where you just click and fill out the form. If you have the time it's no big deal but everyone post the mysavings.com samples in this forum anyways.

I viait mysavings.com daily and I've never had to sign up for any offers. I get a lot of samples from what they list for you as well as the forums-just like here! However, I turn my computer on every morning and bring startsampling.com up immediately-and then I pretty much leave the window open all day and keep refreshing it. That way, in between all the other stuff I'm doing, I get to peek at the newest freebies in real time! :D

I also check out WalMart's samples a few times a day at least, because they change all day long sometimes. And then I always log into mysurvey.com for a chance to win the daily giveaway or sweepstakes, even if there's no survey for me that day!

I searched and only found a couple of mentions of my now second favorite freebie site, fatwallet.com. They have several forums you can search, all are well moderated, and members can input on deals as well. I've been there since 1999 and they have a great freebie forum, although since I found SS forums, I find many are duplicated at FatWallet freebie forum. However, so many people are searching for all kinds of freebies to post first there that you really need to spend time going back into previous pages. Many offers not showing active are still valid, same as here I might add. It's free to join, and they also have special forums for hot deals, finance offers, etc., which aren't necessarily free but at a great deal price. You also can earn cash back for shopping at their sponsored stores, most of which are well known to us folks browsing for deals and freebies. You don't have to join (it's free) to search their freebie forum(all of them actually) and the link and information are always posted. If a deal is dead, that's posted pretty quick also. I really love it as much as I do SS forums now. I also am a long time member of MyPoints and I don't mind clicking on their emails briefly just to get the points. It adds up quickly and I choose usually the prepaid gasoline cards as my reward, although restaurant cards and superstore prepaid cards are also available. I really recommend checking both this site and FW for freebies. :)

What happen to samplescoop.com ? Did the site change it's name?

Since alot of you were asking, here is a copy of a post I did back in September about this:

By the way, I just checked and SampleSeen which they recommended is no longer working either. At least our good old Startsampling is still here!

I found FreeSnatcher.com (http://www.freesnatcher.com) a while back and I love it. The owner updates it daily and they offer real free samples.

oh my, Ive just collected 50-100 sites to go searching for freebies on now thanks everyone!!

Would anyone know of a site that you can go and request coupons and they are mailed to your home address? I don't have a printer, so those print coupon sites wont do me any good.

Ive been told there are no such sites as what I'm looking for other then signing up with individual sites of the brands I like.

Have fun! I used to go to all the other sites but I don't waste my time anymore. You will rarely find an offer that is good that is not already posted here. I used to be a freebie hunter, but we have many members that do an awesome job of getting them posted here quickly or before anyone else. Now I spend that time maintaining our bad freebies list. On rare occasion I will check out another site. Funny thing is, I always see offers that are on our Bad Freebies List;)

Has anybody tried anything from myinsiderdeals.com or yourproductsamples.com? I just wanted to know because I was thinking about it and I was wondering if it was a scam or anything. Thanks!:)
